Inc. magazine announced this week that phData has ranked No. 48 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing privately held companies. With three-year revenue growth of 5,638%, we’re proud to see our name on Inc.’s 5000 list and excited about our future.
So how did we do it? phData COO Michael Cleveland believes our success is largely driven from three things: our approach of using both software and automation to deliver our services, hiring exceptionally talented and curious people, and a relentless commitment to customer success.
Our strategy of using software and automation in the delivery of our services has allowed us to drive customer value in a more scalable, cost-effective, and reliable manner. We believe this is a key differentiator from our competitors and we’re firmly committed to continued investment in this part of our business. Our growth is a testament to the dramatic impact we’ve had on our customers’ business through analytics and machine learning, and the incredible people we’re able to bring to the table.
Our recruiting and hiring process is focused on finding people to join our team who are humble, hungry, smart, and aligned with our core values. We have always been more focused on investing in the growth and long-term development of our team over short-term profit. One demonstration of our commitment is we’ve developed a robust technical training program that all of our new consultants complete in their first several weeks at phData.
Our unifying rallying cry at phData is customer success. We live this out every day by encouraging and embracing collaboration. To us, collaboration and knowledge sharing aren’t just buzzwords. They’re the cornerstones of our business. The markets we serve and the technologies we support are far too vast for one individual to know everything. However, with our team’s commitment to learning and sharing, we’re confident in our ability to continue delivering tremendous value to our customers.
While we recognize this same level of growth is not sustainable, we’re extremely proud of what we’ve built over the last few years and thrilled to be honored on the Inc. 5000 list as a result. We’re excited to continue growing and building our business the right way, by focusing on our technology, our employees, and our customers.
